Are you driving less

Are you driving less

As temperatures begin to feel a lot more like summer, people are venturing out and about. For a lot of us, especially here in Morristown, that involves our two feet.

But, those in the suburbs might need to take their cars to get where they want to go (the Green, for example). And, that, of course, takes gas. Unfortunately, it's not getting any lower.

This week, prices were precipitously close to $4 a gallon for regular gas at the Lukoil and Gulf stations on the corner of Washington and Mills streets. The best price, at Spartan on East Hanover Avenue in Morris Township, was at $3.74 a gallon, according to our "Commute" page. Less, but still not cheap.

So, we want to know whether these rising prices have caused you to curb your driving. Or, are you driving as much, regardless of price? Take our poll and leave your comments below.

We have limited our driving on the week-ends. We would look forward to take a drive in the country, go shopping and have lunch wherever our ride took us. Now, we don't take these drives and we are not spending the money. The restaurant is losing money, the store is losing the money and New Jersey is losing sales taxes and its gasoline tax.
